What to do about these little scenerios please help?

hello i have a few questions i go to court for child support. im on the county due to my ability to work, i cannot work a job because i have lupus & i am being reviewed by ssi. in exact words my son father said i had a choice of aborting or giving the child up for an adoption & i chose to keep it so he doesnt want it & he want to sign over rights to me can he do that? my son was born preemie and when he was 2 weeks he was crying 3am one night, a neighbor was annoyed & called the cops on me saying i was beating my child, the police came & didnt make no report & we had to force the cop to search our home. our home went into foreclosure & it was me my mom & my son living at home so i paid a bill & put food in my home, my son father claims im using my son which i would never do. my child father never gave me a dime however can i be in trouble for any of this? what are my rights as a single mom?
